Policies and Procedures

Library Circulation & Procedures
  • Pre-K & Kindergarten students may check out 1 book and 1st-6th grade students may check out 2 books. Fannin students check out with their class weekly, but they may stop by the library anytime during the school day to exchange books outside their normal library time.
  • Students may place "holds" on books that are checked out by other patrons. When the book is returned, it will be set aside, and the student will be notified that the book is available to check out.
  • Books are considered overdue after two weeks from the day they were checked out. No fines will be assessed, but please bring the book in to either renew or check in.
  • If a student loses a book, it must be paid for.  Look throughout the house, cars, and backpack before paying for a book.
  • If a book is damaged, we will assess the damage and send a report home with the replacement cost of the book.
